Abstract

Wearable electrochemical sensors have become increasingly attractive due to non-invasive biomarkers detection direct on-body to monitor health risk, performance, and nutrition markers. In this perspective, the development of simple, low-cost, high-sensible, and flexible electrochemical devices has attracted significant attention. The use of polymeric substrates to fabricate these electrochemical devices has also been pointed out. A current, easy, and low-cost method emerged to fabricate carbon-based devices under organic surfaces in this field. The Laser-scribing technique consists of the carbonization of organic platforms using a laser source, which is responsible for generating conductive carbon tracks. This project aims to develop wearable electrochemical devices for health risk markers, exploring the low-cost, and straightforward laser-scribing method to fabricate electrochemical devices with different properties.
