In this project we will study whether the Standard Model (SM) gauge symmetry is linearly realized or not. In the linear scenario, the Higgs field belongs to a doublet of the symmetry group and the deviations of the SM predictions are described by an effective theory called Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT). In this case, the corrections for the triple interactions among the electroweak gauge bosons and the corrections for the interactions among the gauge bosons and the Higgs boson are correlated. On the other hand, when symmetry is non-linearly realized, the Higgs field is a singlet of the symmetry group and the proper effective theory is called Higgs Effective Field Theory. In this scenario, the correlations among the interactions mentioned above do not exist. Our goal is to study process corresponding to these interactions at the Large Hadron Collider to verify if the correlations in fact exist.
