Abstract

This study has as main focus the elaboration of a diagnosis and to propose actions for maintenance and improvement of the quality of the waters in an inhabited area within an area of Atlantic Forest, under the domain of the Instituto Terra Luminous (ITL). As it is a place characterized by having a seasonal generation of sewage and by being located in a preserved area, the common sewage treatment systems are not the most efficient. Therefore, this work aims to deepen the knowledge about the complexity of places like these and study what would be the best approach for the application of sewage treatment systems since it is an unusual case of occupation.
