The project consists of the optical review and optimization of the setting of a Ti: Sapphire femtosecond laser cavity and its components to achieve a pulsed regime in the femtosecond range using chirped mirror coating technology. This setting allows the use in a color laser engraving and marking system on different materials, generating periodically oriented nanostructures (ripples) on the surface of these materials, changing the material properties, associating them with specific color patterns. The cavity to be optimized has a ring shape, which is of the bow tie type, whose configuration is suitable for the generation of ultrashort pulses with a temporal duration of the order of hundreds of femtoseconds. The operation of the laser in an ultrashort pulse regime requires the complete stability of the laser optical cavity, formed by increasing the number of coupled modes, making it possible to reduce the temporal size of the propagating pulse, reaching the mode-locking regime. The project consists of an optical review of the cavity and the alignment and optimization of all components to achieve the pulsed regime of femtoseconds at 800nm for the development of a Ti: Sapphire color laser marking system.(AU)
