This research project aims to understand how gender and sexuality issues are manifested in a polemical way in the spiritist environment. Through the field study of a dissident house: the Salto Quântico Institute, headquartered in Aracajú (SE, BR). It is intended to understand how, in a scenario of contemporary demands from feminist movements and LGBTQIA +, internal disputes occur in the spiritist field that lead to ruptures that channel and symbolize new ways of understanding articulated spiritual practices with the discussion about sexual diversity. In this direction, it seems that such a split is novelty a certain Marian theology, which postulates the divine femininity, in supporting the defense of the right to express one's sexual identity. The research will use the following methodological tools: semi-structured interviews, analysis of promotional materials Institute's digital platform, monitoring activities, online and in person, and reviewing bibliographic.
