Abstract

This project aims to adapt the methodology developed by the CNPq Multifunctional Materials research group, belonging to the Advanced Research Center for Graphene, Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies - MackGraphe, of the Mackenzie Presbyterian Institute (IPM) for the development of multifunctional poly ( ethylene terephthalate) (PET) and graphene in order to contribute to the increase and innovation of applications in various sectors of the textile industry with a focus on transportation, aeronautics and sports. This proposal aims to process nanocomposites that have improved mechanical properties and thermal conductivity compared to pure PET. In addition, following the processing conditions and methodology developed by the group, a study will be carried out to analyze the effects of the morphology and structure obtained in the composites of PET and graphene in obtaining the desired mechanical and thermal properties.
