The purpose of this study will be to evaluate the biomechanical behavior of the interface formed between bone and implants manufactured in cp-Ti with machined (CPMS) and laser-modified surfaces (CPLS) and implants manufactured in Ti6Al4V with machined (ALLOYMS) and laser-modified surfaces (ALLOYLS). Perform the topographic characterization of implants before experimental surgery using a scanning electron microscope coupled to an energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry system (SEM-EDX). Afterward, 48 male Wistar rats will receive 96 implants of 2x4mm in surgical beds milled in their right and left tibias, with one implant of each material (metal) or surface installed in each tibia. A biomechanical analysis will be carried out through counter-torque, in periods of 14, 21, and 42 days, with 8 animals per group that will undergo general anesthesia, followed by measuring the removal torque of the implants in vivo. In these removed implants, the topographic characterization of the surfaces will be performed using the SEM-EDX for qualitative/quantitative analysis of the newly formed bone with the measurement of the elements calcium (Ca), phosphorus (P), and oxygen (O). The values taken in the biomechanical analysis and SEM-EDX of the implants after removal will be tabulated and identified for statistical analysis, considering p<0.05. (AU)
