Abstract

The aim of this research will be to analyze the value of the primary stability coefficient of dental implants with the hydrophilic surface (TitamaxWS, Acqua, Neodent®) biofunctionalized with bioglass (BSF18, Vetra®) installed in the maxillary sinus area of rabbits. A total of 32 rabbits will be submitted into bilateral access to the maxillary sinus floor membrane to perform elevation and insertion of bone grafts with the following groups: Group I: graft composed of the mixture of hydroxyapatite and beta-tricalcium phosphate (SinBone®); Group II: synthetic bioactive glass graft (F18, Vetra®); Group III: F18® + SinBone®; Group IV: F18® + stem cells derived from bone marrow. After 30 and 60 days, the grafted defects will be subjected to the installation of titanium implants with cylindrical macrostructure and modified microstructure by blasting + acid attack + immersion in 0.9% isotonic sodium chloride solution (TitamaxWS, Acqua, Neodent®) associated or not with a biofunctionalization by BSF18 bioglass (Vetra®). The value of the implant stability quotient (ISQ) will be measured by frequency of resonance of dental implants installed and the value will be obtained immediately after the implant installation through Osstell® device. Previously the euthanasia of animals at 45 and 75 days, the values of ISQ measurement will be evaluated over again. For statistical analysis, if the data generated is normal, the parametric tests of Anova complemented by the Tukey test will be used for the inferential analysis of the data. Otherwise, the Kruskall-Wallis non-parametric test complemented by the Dunn test will be used for data analysis. The tests will be applied with a 5% significance level. (AU)
