Abstract

The present research project considers a theoretical analysis and the computational implementation of the model linear hybrid of the transmission systems expansion planning problem. That kind of model, for different reasons, has not been adequately explored by the specialized literature. The linear hybrid model is a relaxed model compared to the DC and AC models that are the models currently considered as ideal models of modeling for the transmission network expansion problem. In this context, the linear hybrid model can be used to generate excellent solutions to accelerate the process of optimizing more complex models. It is also intended to find the optimal solutions for highly complex systems and to compare the topology found in relation to more exact models. (AU)
