Abstract

Currently, implantodontics presents itself as a very efficient treatment option for patients who need rehabilitation of the stomatognathic system, however, the insufficient amount of remaining bone may make this type of therapy impossible. As a result, guided bone regeneration techniques were developed for reconstruction or maintenance of the alveolar ridges through grafts and membranes. The objective of this study will be to evaluate the bone repair process in critical defects made in rat skull caps, through guided bone regeneration using blood clot as the filling material and installation of two types of collagen membranes, through histometric analysis, microtomographic and using 7, 15, 30 and 60 days as experimental times. After euthanasia, according to the parts processed and the laboratory procedures performed. For evaluation of the collected data, they will be submitted as histomorphometric, immunohistochemistry and inflammatory analyzes. The results found will be submited to homoscedasticity tests to verify the better statistical tests to be used. For comparisons between groups, the One-way ANOVA tests with Tukey's post-test will be used, if the main parametric data; and Kruskal-Wallis with Dunn's post-test, if the main non-parametric data. The level of significance established will be 5%.
