Abstract

The decentralization of the subject, a result of the epistemological subversion caused by the emergence of psychoanalysis, is the driver of the crisis of subjectivity in modernity. The development of psychoanalysis and literary production are two areas that influence and are influenced by this issue and that, in different ways, are articulated to each other. This alliance is of grand value, given that literature manifests itself as an exceptional interlocutor of psychoanalytic practice; and psychoanalysis itself is a powerful resource for interpreting literature. Thus, it is in the interest of this project to study a possible dialogue between these two fields through the following objects of study: the discourse of the hysteric, proposed by Lacan, and Clarice Lispector's literary work. To this end, the methodology used will be the analytical reading of the works "The Apprenticeship, or The Book of Pleasures" and "The passion according to G.H." in the light of the discourse of the hysteric - taking in the account and aid Frayze-Pereira's implicated psychoanalysis. Finally, it is important to emphasize the great relevance and cultural enrichment of having a deeper understanding of the ways in which these two fields of knowledge and human production dialogue.
