Knowledge and practices in historical perspective: a study of the teaching profession and career in the city of Guarulhos (1970 - current days)

Abstract

This project, related to the thematic project "Knowledge and practices in borders: for a transnational history of education (1810 -&)" approved by FAPESP in July 2019 (process number 2018 / 26699-4) and entitled "Knowledge and practices in historical perspective: a study of the teaching profession and career in the city of Guarulhos (1970 - today) "aims to continue and deepen the investigations proposed by axis 4 entitled: Teaching materials for public education and teacher training indicated in the original thematic project. For the investigation of the axis, it is proposed to map, systematize and analyze the teaching materials produced and used by teachers in the city of Guarulhos between the 1970s to the present day in the context of their initial and continuing education, as well as to understand the representations and appropriations of these materials in the daily life of schools by teachers and other professionals in the given context. The objective is to investigate the education and training histories of teachers working in the investigated schools in order to reconstruct the training trajectories of teachers and members of their management team, in order to characterize the subjects working in it, the relationships established between them and with its own culture, considering the meanings attributed to the profession and the work carried out with the students.
