This study aims to evaluate the effect of the incorporation of sodium trimetaphosphate (TMPnano) and phosphorylated chitosan (Qui-Ph) nano-sizeds in resin-modified glass ionomer cement (CIVMR) on physical and mechanical properties. Evidence bodies of each material will be made (n=6): 1) CIVMR without TMPnano/Qui-Ph (Control); 2) CIVMR with 14% of TMPnano (CIVMR-TMPnano); 3) CIVMR with 0.25% of Qui-Ph (CIVMR-0.25%Chi-Ph; 4) CIVMR with 0.5% of Qui-Ph (CIVMR-0.25%Chi-Ph; 5) CIVMR with 14% of TMPnano and 0.25% of Chi-Ph (CIVMR-TMPnano-0.25%Chi-Ph) and 6) CIVMR with 14% of TMPnano and 0.5% of Chi-Ph (CIVMR-TMPnano-0.5%Chi-Ph). The physical-mechanical properties of CIVMR will be determined: Diametric tensile strength, Compression strength, Hardness of materials and Surface roughness(EDX). For statistical analysis, the values of the physical-mechanical tests (diametrical traction - kgF/cm2, Compression - MPa, hardness of materials - KHN and surface roughness - RS) will be considered as variables. The data will be submitted to normality and homoscedasticity tests to apply the most appropriate statistical analysis to the data distribution. The statistical program Sigmaplot for Windows version 12.0 will be used, with significance at the 5% level.
