Abstract

The aim of the project is to train the student in spectroscopic analysis techniques using solar-type stars. More specifically, the student will study solar analogue stars at the end of main sequence and at their evolution immediately afterwards, in other words, at the subgiant branch. The student will carry out the sample selection and will use public spectra of high spectral resolution, to determine the atmospheric parameters and chemical composition of the stars, and will study possible changes due to atomic diffusion.
