Abstract The goal of this research is to analyze and better understand the bibliographic production about La Oficina del Historiador de la Ciudad de Habana, between 1934 and 1964. The investigation intends to better understand the role of this entity in debates about the preservation of cultural heritage in Havana, searching about the role of the historian in this process, as well as the main debates on the formulation of preservation policies in the capital of Cuba. Focusing the 1959 as the axis of pre and post revolution Havaneira experience, the project here presented tries to understand, preliminarily, the debates about the relationship between nationalism, revolution, and heritage in the Latin American environment. | |
