Abstract

The fragmented and uncritical understanding of common sense, often permeated by the way of sharing news on social media, opens space for a "delinquent" conception of adolescence, absolute accountability, and naturalization of infractions. In this way, a conception is created in relation to adolescents in conflict with the law associated with the production of violence and crime, founded on decontextualized biases and that intensify the process of stigmatization and deprotection of those groups. Based on these concerns, the objective of the present study is to identify as Social Representations (RS) referring to infractions and adolescents manifested in news sites. The corpus of analysis will be the virtual comments made by internet users on a website with free access. The inclusion criteria for the news will be: I) journalistic texts published in the period 2012-2020 that explicitly depict infractions committed by adolescents; II) knowledge whose "add comments" feature has been enabled for users; III) news covering infractions committed by adolescents in all regions of the country. Exclusion criteria include IV) materials that have no comments from readers and users; V) articles that portray infractions of a hideous nature committed by adolescents. The collected data will be categorized and encoded using the IRAMUTEQ and Atlas software. IT and, analyze, analyze an analysis through the techniques of Factorial Representation, Word Cloud and Thematic Analysis (AT). It is hoped that the results of this investigation can map how RS of adolescents in conflict with the law and expand the considerations on social practices that corroborate the stigmatization of this group.
