Abstract

It is a scientific initiation research project that aims to study the display of 3D objects in smart glasses with augmented reality, which can serve as an auxiliary device for surgeons during an operation. It is intended to conceptualize the relationships between computer vision and computer graphics in the field of augmented reality. With the support of the Aeronautical Technologies Laboratory (AeroTech), we propose an application that overlays a patient's head with a 3D model indicating points of implantation of electrodes during a surgical scenario. In addition, it will be necessary to study the mathematical foundation of computer graphics in order to understand the basis of augmented reality applications and, finally, adapt these applications to the mobile device systems compatible with augmented reality glasses.
