Abstract

This project aims to identify health promotion policies and to prevent and cope with teenage pregnancy. Adolescent pregnancy reveals itself as one of the expressions of the broader social issue, aggravated by the conditions of inequality, poverty, vulnerability and social risk resulting from the capitalist mode of production and social determinants. It is a complex and multidetermined phenomenon, associated with psychological, social and historical factors. After the middle of the twentieth century, teenage pregnancy started to be considered a public health issue, becoming more visible with the increase in births in mothers under 20 years old, in the 90s, when the percentages went from 16.38 % in 1991, to 21.34% in 2000, according to data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE, 2002). This work intends to carry out a qualitative descriptive research, designed in three stages: bibliographic research with reading texts in books and scientific articles, reports, etc. Documentary research: Survey of teenage pregnancy evidence in the municipality of Franca, using Base The Health Unic System. Analysis of the municipality's Primary Care reports to identify health promotion actions in France. It is hoped to identify the evidence of early pregnancy in the municipality, as well as health education actions that are not just occasional curative and preventive actions. Verify that these actions of Comprehensive Health Care for Adolescents and Youth in the Promotion, Protection and Recovery of Health, are based on the National Policy for Comprehensive Health Care for Adolescents and Young People, with the managers' awareness of a holistic view of the human being.
