Abstract In this project, we investigate the anomalous transport in phase spaces of symplectic maps via two novel theoretical approaches. The diffusion in specific regions of the phase space can be described by a simple rule of summations in a discrete numerical process and, additionally, a few properties from complex network analysis can be suitable to characterize different dynamic regimes of interest. Our goal is to investigate these two methods to understand the anomalous transport in the phase space of two maps that describes the configuration of the magnetic field lines in tokamaks under different regimes. The theoretical study of this type of transport in plasma dynamics is also significant to experiments in tokamaks. Finally, this theoretical methodology can be applied to other similar systems that can be represented via a two-dimensional, area-preserving, Hamiltonian maps. (AU) | |
