Migraine is one of the most common neurological worldwide diseases, with a high impact also in the pediatric population. However, the scope of the common musculoskeletal disorders in adults with migraine is not entirely known in pediatric subjects, especially regarding symptoms of pain and sensitivity and its correlations with physical tests, such as range of motion. Therefore, this study will aim to verify the association between sensitization and cervical mobility in children and adolescents with migraine. Fifty patients with migraine aged between 6-18 years, diagnosed by an experienced neurologist, will be evaluated at the Infantile Headache Outpatient Clinic of the General Hospital of the Ribeirão Preto Medical School. Sensitivity will be assessed using the Allodynia Questionnaire based on the ICHD-III beta version and through the pressure pain threshold using a digital algometer (DDK-20 Kratos). Cervical mobility will be assessed with the global cervical range of motion and with the Flexion Rotation Test (FRT), using the Cervical Range of Motion (CROM®) device. The results of this study will provide a better understanding of mechanisms involved in the sensitization process and the mobility of the cervical spine of children and adolescents, contributing to improving the treatment approach of these patients.
