Three-dimensional modeling of buildings by photogrammetry

Abstract

The constant technological and industrial advancement is directly reflected in the spatial organization of large metropolises, medium-sized cities and even in small cities, generating the need to consider the concept of multipurpose space. Some research shows that only way to understand the structure of society is through a set of data and information, capable of translating the reality of transformation over time. Known as an important planning tool, the Multipurpose Cadaster (CTM) has been used to provide these data sets and information to planners, supporting decision-making processes, mainly in public bodies such as municipal governments, which are responsible for management their territory. In this work, we intend to evaluate the feasibility of using Photogrammetry from oblique aerial photographs, taken using a Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS), as a tool for three-dimensional modeling of buildings for the CTM, assisting in the data collection for the 3D Cadaster and the three-dimensional modeling of cities.
