Abstract Based on the French theoretical line of Discourse Analysis, in addition to studies on humor, stereotypes, cinema and gender, this work aims to analyze the stereotypes about women in the development of female characters in the Brazilian comedies A mulher invisível, by Cláudio Torres (2009), and O homem perfeito, by Marcus Baldini (2018), observing how they contribute to obtain the comic effect in the movies. We chose cinema to compose the research corpus because, as art, it allows us to observe different aspects of our society, such as in comedy cinematographic genre, once humor deals with controversial themes, considered prohibited in some spaces, operating with stereotypes and allowing us to observe the representations that circulate in our society. | |
