Precariousness of working conditions in Brazil (2012 - 2019)

Abstract

This project proposes a critical analysis of the recent process of the precariousness of working conditions in Brazil. It intends to verify the form of exploitation of the Brazilian labor force from 2012 until 2019; thus, to identify the intervals of greater and lesser degradation of working conditions in the period. Such purpose will include the analysis of the dimensions of the precariousness of working conditions and of the correlations between the indicators that deal with such dimensions. Thus, the changes observed in the area of unemployment, informality, and income, here understood as dimensions of the precariousness of working conditions; will be evaluated in order to verify the way they are interrelated. Regarding the identification of intervals of greater and lesser degradation of working conditions, this will be carried out by verifying the results from the ICT (Work Condition Index), prepared by DIEESE (Inter-Union Department of Statistics and Socioeconomic Studies).
