Abstract

The relief of Cuestas in the eastern portion of the Paraná Sedimentary Basin extends throughout the entire state of São Paulo, producing a high level, standing out on inland routes. Allied to its morphology and consequent susceptibility to denudative processes, the anthropic intervention on the cuestiform relief is more and more intense due to the technical improvement of the last decades. Thus, the objective of this research is to seek an understanding of the relationship between the forms of relief in the cuestiform sector with the anthropic actions carried out in the upper Capivara - Botucatu (SP) basin, caused mainly by the agricultural use of the land. For this, morphometric charts will be developed in order to evaluate vertical and horizontal dissection, slope and relief energy; as well as geomorphological and land use and occupation maps comparing two scenarios, from 1972 to 2013. With this, it is expected to understand the natural geometric characteristics of the relief and the anthropic changes promoted in the basin area over the last decades, seeking assess its real impact with existing landforms.
