Abstract

When we turn to research on racism, it is common for us to focus on the black people and the possible implications for their constitution as oppressed. Thus, generally, the perspectives that encompass the construction of white identity are not contemplated, that is, roughly speaking, the way like white subjects identify themselves, as well as some intersectionalities, such as class and gender, which together with race, converge towards existence of the subjects in the world. This research project consists of mapping the bibliographic productions from 2003 that refer to the whiteness-gender pair in the Latin American context, as well as their epistemic and methodological references understood by the Humanities and Social Sciences. The method used to conduct the research is the Systematic Literature Review (RSL). We will consult the databases, such as Capes, Scielo and Google Academic Portal, as well as the integrated database P@rthenon (UNESP), based on the descriptors whiteness, whitening and gender. We will systematize the information obtained from the areas, as well as the themes, objectives and methods that make up the productions. Thus, we intend to produce a chronological map in relation to the changing interests and perspectives of the Humanities and Social Sciences, which encompass Psychology, referring to studies on whiteness-gender. In addition, we will seek to highlight the used main references that influence the production on the subject whiteness-gender in Brazil. (AU)
