Abstract

Since 2010, there has been a progressive increase in the publication of novels that thematize Brazilian military dictatorship. In 2014, the year of the fiftieth anniversary of the 1964 coup, it seems to occur a boom in these publications. Given the phenomenon, market related at the beginning, the specificities of the representation of this historical moment are questioned, in these contemporary works, in relation to the works that thematized the same subject and that were published during the military regime and the democratic transition. One hypothesis is that, although the products of the 2014 boom are quite diverse, there is a group of such novels that cools the romanesque tradition that evokes the authoritarian period, since it gathers novels less ruled by History, by (auto) biographical data and its unfolding. In this sense, the representation of the military dictatorship would bear the essence of its eminently fictional essence. Therefore, in order to analyze how "Mímesis", "Fiction" and "Control of the Imaginary" (LIMA, 2003, 2007, 2009, 2014) are interwoven in the structure of these novels, especially those of the Infernal Trilogy (Verunschk, 2018) and of "Night inside of the Night - an autobiography" (TERRON, 2017), our corpus, the present work takes by epistemological support Luiz Costa Lima's theory (2007,2009) to investigate the pulverization of concrete in the product of the productive and producer imagination.
