Abstract

Blockchain technology is currently growing due to its potential application in various fields (blockchain 3.0), such as healthcare. Data generated from healthcare systems can be shared with the blockchain, helping to improve the security of these systems. However, health multimedia data is classified as sensitive data and the blockchain only assists in security aspects, presenting issues related to privacy and linkage attacks that reveal the patient's identity. This proposal investigates the differential privacy model in order to find the most appropriate privacy mechanism to ensure better privacy in blockchain-based healthcare systems. To enable the development of this proposal, we use Hyperledger Fabric to build a blockchain network and the privacy model will be used at the core of patient-associated queries. Moreover, this project studies blockchain applied in the sharing of medical imaging, due to this data type generates high value for research in healthcare. In our research, we hope to improve blockchain privacy for health by following the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulation as from differential privacy. (AU)
