Abstract

The objective of this work will be to evaluate the effect of endodontic access type on the deflection resistance of the maxillary central incisor tooth. Therefore, the finite element analysis (FEA) will be performed in a 3D model of an upper central incisor simulating a control group (without endodontic access), a conservative access group (ECC), a traditional access group (TEC), and an invasive access group (IEC), and a force of 250N of 45º 2 mm will be applied below the incisal edge on the palatal surface of the tooth simulating masticatory force. Another test will be performed in vitro (Strain gauge) with the same groups on 40 human teeth (n = 10). For objective measurement of the amount of material worn in each species, through the types of access, volumetric acquisitions will be made by cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) of each tooth belonging to the study at 02 different times: at baseline (without any wear) and after the access made.
