The main focus of this Research Internship Abroad is to enable the previous research on the novels by the Welsh author, Raymond Williams, to unfold and develop. The research in question initially focused on Raymond Williams' five novels in order to find an explanatory link between the different narratives. This was materialized by a greater emphasis on the first of the novels, Border Country (1960). The continuity of this research aims at the commented translation of this novel. Thus, this project aims to make possible the contact with archives, collections and sources essential to the elaboration of the comments, enabling the realization of a translation faithful to the reality of the Welsh author and characters, as well as accurately describing the Welsh way of life in all its complexity and relevance to the narratives and to the development of the full translation and comments.
