Abstract

The aim of this study will be to prepare and to evaluate histologically the material obtained from the application of the engineering of cell membranes (cell sheets) associated with photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) and antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT) as treatments for the medication-trelated osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) induced in rats. The hypothesis of the study is that the association of cell membrane culture engineering with biophotonic therapies (PBMT e aPDT) will improve bone regeneration of MRONJ lesions in rats. The overall study was in vitro and in vivo with 60 Wistar rats where MRONJ was induced by zolendronate (ZLN) a potent antiresorptive medication, in response to upper molar extraction. Samples were fixed and analysed by using computerized microtomography (MicroCT) images. The next step will be to submit them to the histological analysis (HE) that will be done by the IC student who will participate in the preparation of the samples, the interpretation of the slides and in the statistical analysis of the data when pertinent (pd0.05).
