Semiconductor nanomaterials form an interesting platform for fundamental physics studies, including multi-photon processes. Two-photon absorption spectroscopy has been an interesting tool to reveal peculiarities of the electronic structures of these nanomaterials. In this project, we propose to investigate two-photon processes in CdSe-based nanomaterials. Among the processes investigated, we will not only study the two-photon absorption spectroscopy, but also, explore the possibility of two-photon gain or even two-photon emission in these nanostructures.
