Abstract

Architecture is constantly being influenced by its surroundings, whether climatic matters, whether the historical, social or geographic context of the urban area in which the building is located, being relevant the questions involving environmental comfort and energetic sufficiency. For the residential sector, 30% of all electric energy used is given by household appliances related to environmental comfort, turning the relation between architecture and comfort a decisive factor for the energy usage. Thus, bioclimatic architecture allows to reconcile climate, form, matter and energy to develop architectural solutions with the objective of reducing environmental damages. Therefore, this research aims in propose bioclimatic guidelines in order to improve environmental comfort in residential areas of Presidente Prudente, using the climatic characteristics in the most effective way and searching for a decrease in the electric energy consumption. For the execution of this study, will be made a subdivision of the residential areas in morphological regions, analyses of the different residential typologies and taking measures relating to thermal and luminous comfort in the space built with the purpose of proposing guidelines based on dynamic factors, on the criteria of the bioclimatic zone 6 and in the recommendations of Mahoney tables.
