Recently, catalysts supported on carbon-based materials have been gaining Attention in methane reform reactions, since this material presents high area Surface, high porosity, high thermal conductivity, low specific mass and ease of Recovery of the active phase metals when burning the bracket. In this context, nanotubes of Carbon (NTC) have been considered very promising materials, offering the possibility of Applications in numerous areas of science and, in particular, in catalysis. NTC can be Used as a support of metallic particles for various reactions, such as catalyst in the Methane decomposition, or still act as a nanoreactor with metallic nanoparticles Inside a containment effect capable of increasing the activity and/or Catalytic selectivity. The main objective of this work is the generation and study of Nickel (Ni) catalysts supported in multiple-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) and their respective surface area (BET), DRX (before and after reaction) and TPR. This the synthesis and characterization of a nickel catalyst supported in nanotubes of composite wall carbon (MWCNT) for the future to be applied to the dry reform of the Methane (DRM). Dry reform consists of the reaction of methane with carbon dioxide to the Synthesis gas generation. Through this process it is possible to consume two greenhouse gases (CH4 and CO2) to generate synthesis gas.
