Associated to the scholarship:19/09249-8 - Exoplanet detection, BP.IC

This project has the aim of using improved tools for the characterization of exoplanets through data obtained with the radial velocity and transit techniques. We will employ the versatile code Juliet using known exoplanets in the literature, for which there are public data available. In this way, the student will benefit by learning cutting-edge tools, and also the group at STScI will benefit, as the improved planet properties obtained by the student could be used for observations with the future James Web Space Telescope, the successor of the Hubble Space Telescope.
