The Lower Cretaceous is a period that is hard to describe regarding the astronomic influences on its climate. This is due to lack of orbital models which encompass ages older than 60 Ma with exception of 405 kyr period modulation of Earth's eccentricity. However, not only the cyclostratigraphy is based on these models as well cyclostratigraphic studies can enhance its precision on periods of uncertainty. Therefore, the aim of this project is to study such influences in the region between Tethys and Atlantic Ocean using the Poggio Le Guaine core from Umbria-Marche Basin and the Puez Section from Trento Plateau, both in Italy, considering climatic and oceanographic variations described in the bibliography by paleochemistry and paleomagnetic data.
