Industry 4.0 deployment model

Abstract

The Institute for Technological Research (IPT) is developing the project entitled "Institutional Development Plan in the Digital Transformation Area: Industry 4.0 and Smart Cities", sponsored by the São Paulo State Research Support Foundation (FAPESP). This study intends to collaborate with the project in Industry 4.0 axis. The Center for Information Technology, Automation, and Mobility (CIAM) have established a line of research that focuses on the training of professionals in the process of implementing Digital Transformation in Industries. To this end, we saw the need to investigate the methodologies used to improve production processes in light of new digital technologies. This study proposes the development of an Industry 4.0 Implementation Model that presents the characteristics and the technological implementations required in each of the stages, to be defined, to implement Industry 4.0. For its development, bibliographic and systematic research will be performed, as well as on-site studies to validate the model. As a result, an Industry Deployment Model 4.0 will be developed that will positively reflect on how companies align with market and sustainability requirements by optimizing resources and processes and contributing to the IPT project.
