Abstract

This project aims to develop thin films of PEDOT:PSS and to study their deposition methods as well as the final properties of the deposited films intending more interesting properties for application in electronic devices. The films' properties will be investigated concerning their morphological, optical, and electrical properties. External effects like humidity and temperature affect the electrical properties of these films and therefore will be considered along the characterization of the films properties. Alternatively, study of heterostructures obtained from semiconductor films of PEDOT:PSS with PVA (polyvinyl acetate) or PMMA (polymethacrylate) will also be investigated, aiming application in organic devices like transistors and capacitors where the semiconductor PEDOT:PSS presents a fundamental role. The realization of the present project and the interactions with colleagues of laboratory during the scientific initiation aims to promote the knowledge and experience of the student Natan in the academic and scientific area.
