Abstract

This in vitro study, will evaluate the effects of dental creams containing or not activated carbon, associated or not to laser on eroded and abrasion enamel. Therefore, 90 samples (3x3x1,5mm) will be made from human third molars. In all the groups will be simulated the process of erosion, followed by remineralization and dental abrasion. The 9 groups (n=10) will be randomly divided in: G1- Negative control (distilled water), G2- Positive control (Colgate Total 12), G3- Nd:YAG laser , G4- Bianco Carbon, G5- Curaprox Black is White, G6- Colgate Essencials with Charcoal, G7- Bianco Carbon + Laser, G8- Curaprox Black is White + Laser, G9- Colgate Essentials with Charcoal + Laser. The simulation of dental erosion will be performed for 2 minutes, with citric acid 1%(pH2,3) and abrasion with the aid of electric brush (15s per sample +1min45s of slurry immersion). All specimens will be evaluated for Optical Profileometry for wear evalution. The results will be evaluated according to the most indicated statistical test after the evaluation of homogeneity and normality of the data.
