There is a great public interest in the quality of open urban spaces, it is known that they can contribute to the quality of life in cities, or instead, emphasize isolation and social exclusion. In this context microclimatic conditions began to be seen as important for the success of an open space, since they are, indirectly, a critical parameter for the use of the external spaces in the urban environment. Therefore, studies on thermal comfort in outdoor spaces have been increasingly addressed. Public space is, for many people, the main leisure option, so it is important that the design of these spaces includes, besides an infrastructure for this purpose, an additional concern with the thermal comfort that this place will provide for users. Since the thermal comfort of the user is directly related to its permanence in the locality mainly in cities like Presidente Prudente - SP, with a climate characterized by high temperatures and high level of radiation, these studies become more important. Considering the importance of these spaces, this research has the objective of analyzing the thermal comfort of the visitors of the newly built park in the city of Presidente Prudente entitled Nelson Bugalho Ecological Park.
