Analyzes performed in laboratories and industries generate large amounts of toxic or non-toxic wastes that affect the environment depending on the way they are disposed of. Among the most performed analyzes in foods, the determination of the antioxidant activity, usually by the radical sequestration method by DPPH, is performed. After performing the analysis we obtained a toxic residue, in which it is not easily discarded. The present project aims to degrade the residue generated in the analyzes of determination of the antioxidant activity of foods. For this, different methods of degradation of this residue in a more environmentally acceptable compound will be evaluated and, consequently, can be discarded more easily
