Photographic record and industrial heritage: the contribution of the visual record to the touristic inventory of the industrial heritage of Campinas (SP)

Abstract

This research has as its object of study the industrial buildings located in the city of Campinas (SP). Protected goods at the municipal level by the Council of Historical, artistic, archaeological and touristic heritage (CONDEPHAAT) and has as main objective the contribution of the visual record to the tourist inventory of the industrial heritage of Campinas. The specific objectives are: to identify how the visual record is employed in patrimonial inventory activities that have focused on industrial and rail goods in Campinas; Also identify the importance attributed by tourism technicians in tourist inventory activities; Systate if there are and what are the main characteristics of the visual record in the identification of industrial cultural heritage; Systate if there are and which are the main characteristics of the visual record in the tourist inventory; and compare and analyze the contribution of the visual record in the activities of architectural inventory and tourist inventory. As the research methodology will be studied how the use of the visual registration of the railway goods was used, subsequently consult the tipping processes to identify the characteristics of the images produced from the railway goods and inventories Tourist. Interviews will be conducted with the technicians and further the established classification on the images based on their appropriate techniques. As a result of this research, it is hoped to identify the techniques and visual tools that help and can assist in the patrimonial and touristic inventoriation of the city of Campinas-SP.
