Abstract

Art appears within the process of development of consciousness in the "Phenomenology of the Spirit", a work in which Hegel presents a course of necessity toward absolute knowledge. Being art one of the figures of this system, which is all necessary, we want to understand in our research the peculiarities of this figure, and to what extent we can speak in need of art. Thus, without losing sight of Hegel's Aesthetic Courses, our goal is to work conceptually with art within the Phenomenology, since Hegel's theory of spirit seems essential to understand how it operates and what the characteristics of that figure.
