Abstract

The validation and estimation of parameters of electrical machines have been very important for the correct and efficient operation of electric power systems. Based on the parameters of these models it is possible to make simulations in time to be able to predict their behavior during a transient and take correct actions such as: load relief, calibration of protection schemes, check stability problems, etc. The need to estimate parameters of these machines becomes even more relevant due to the inclusion of distributed energy sources (biomass, biogas, small hydroelectric plants) which use the synchronous generator of small size and wind turbines. which use the induction generator. The present work has the objective of elaborating a software with graphical interface (GUI) to estimate the parameters of electric machines (synchronous generator) through the load rejection test. The identification process was divided into 4 stages. In the first stage being the theoretical study of the tests in electrical machines that are done to estimate parameters. In the second stage, laboratory tests are carried out to obtain disturbance measurements. In the third stage the software with graphic interface using the Python program is elaborated. Finally, in the fourth step, refinements of results are done. The tests will be performed in a small power system mounted in the laboratory of electrical machines of the department of electrical engineering and computation of the university of São Paulo.
