Abstract

This Master's research consists of investigating how the teaching on English language literatures is represented and systematized in the curriculum proposition of the Letters Licentiate course at UNESP, Assis campus. For this investigation, the corpus is supported by the teaching plan documents of anglophone literature subjects, in force between 1997 and 2017. Based on the documentary analysis and by the methodological perspective on social representations, the main theoretical, critical and work literature trends will be debated. This outline shows a local culture and identity as they carry the teacher's education phenomena and curriculum understandings. Aiming on enhancing the analysis allowances, it is intended to appreciate sociocultural aspects about literature teaching at an anglophone university, by means of internship abroad. Finally, on the way of contributing to the course story and memory, as for the documentary archives of the Faculdade de Ciências e Letras, the teaching plans and their analysis will be filed at CEDAP/Centro de Documentação e Apoio à Pesquisa (Research Documentation and Support Center). Thus, this study upon understandings and systematizations of the literature teaching allows plausible results and reflexive interventions for the theme concerned. It is believed the discussion is, currently, relevant to the literature and teaching social roles allied to the public university. (AU)
