Abstract

This research proposal - qualitative, exploratory and descriptive - is designed to conduct research (short duration) at Central Michigan University, located in Mount Pleasant (MI) with the objective of discussing normative and theoretical aspects that substantiate the Tribal Colleges in the United States of America, highlighting the cultural perspective given to mathematics in these courses. For that, documentary studies of curricula (normative and molded) will be carried out, which will be part of a larger investigation based on the presuppositions of Comparative Education. To analyze the data, we plan to use the content analysis.
