Abstract

Due to its excellent properties, graphene has presented a very wide range of possible applications, one of them is addressed in this project. This project is part of the development of polymer nanocomposites, specifically the copolymer (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene) ABS and graphene system. For this project, the melt blending technique will be used to prepare the nanocomposites using a twin screw extruder. The main objective of this project will be to obtain ABS / Graphene nanocomposites with high electrical and mechanical properties for the 3D printing industry using the Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) technique. The dispersion, interaction and morphology of nanocomposites based on three different compositions (0.05%, 0.1% and 0.3% in mass) will be evaluated, in addition to characterizing rheological, mechanical and electrical properties.
