Abstract

This project aims to produce a Commented Translation of three songs by Barbara, a French singer of the twentieth century, as well as the study of this textual genre that is carried out all over the world, spanning the works of the Brazilian researchers of the Department of Modern Letters, at University of São Paulo, Zavaglia (2015) and Faleiros (2015), and the French Boisseau and Sardin (2007). However, for the development of these translations, two other movements of translation will be called: the Song Translation, which we studied by Low (2005), Cintrão (2018), Pruvost (2017) and Bïa Krieger, and the Poetic Translation that we revisited in Laranjeira (2003). As far as Barbara's poetic-musical studies are concerned, the work of the French researcher July (2012), who studies the "Dame brune" for more than 20 years, has been very pioneer. In this way, the proponent intends to combine his musical education with the Translation Studies, thus contributing to the research carried out so far, mainly on the Commented Translation and on Barbara's work, making them better known in our context.
