Congenital heart disease (CHD) is a structural and functional abnormality of the cardiocirculatory system present at birth. It demands important adaptation of the child and its relatives to the pathology and its treatment and level of disease understanding contributes to the increase of quality of life of these patients. Serious Games are electronic games for educational purposes, which have been widely used in health, especially in the treatment of chronic diseases. Objective: to develop a psychoeducative Serious Game prototype for children with congenital heart disease. Materials and Methods: The study will be divided into three stages: 1st) contents that will be addressed in the Serious Game will be defined through interviews with professionals of the Cardiology and Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery interdisciplinary team of the Hospital da Criança e Maternidade (HCM) of São José do Rio Preto, children with CHD admitted to the ICU and HCM pediatric cardiology ward, and their families. 2nd) conceptualization, pre-production and prototyping, with elaboration of testable version of the game by the scientific initiation student supervised by the informatics professional. 3rd) evaluation of the prototype by professionals of the Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery interdisciplinary team of HCM, who will be invited to test and evaluate the game through a questionnaire. The quantitative data will be analyzed with descriptive statistics and the qualitative ones grouped into categories. The project was approved by FAMERP Research Ethics Committee (CAAE: 03303118.1.0000.5415 - Number: 3,088,522).
