Abstract

It is known that air pollution causes damage to human health, but few studies have been conducted in medium-sized cities. This study aims to estimate the association between exposure to environmental pollutants and hospitalizations for respiratory diseases (Cid-10- J00.0 to J99.9), in the city of São José do Rio Preto - SP. It is an ecological study of time series with data obtained from DATASUS and CETESB, in children up to 10 years of age, without distinction of genres in the period 01.01.2015 and 12.31.2017. A generalized linear model of Poisson Regression will be used to estimate the relative risks of exposures in the outcome - hospitalization. Lapses from zero to five days will be considered because the effects of exposure to the pollutants can be evidenced not only on the same day as in later days. Models with an isolated pollutant and all pollutants will be constructed simultaneously, adjusted by the minimum temperature and relative humidity of the air.
