Abstract

The species of green manure belonging to the Fabaceae family are preferred among the cover crops due to Biological Nitrogen Fixation (BNF). The N fixed by the legumes can be transferred to the main (non-legume) crop used in crop rotation or intercropping systems in order to increase the N-use efficiency of the green manure. Thus, the overall objective of the work is to evaluate the nitrogen transfer in an agroecological system agroecological system of intercropping system with cherry tomato and green manures in no - tillage system on corn straw. The experimental design will be a randomized block design with eight treatments and five replications. The treatments were: control with corn straw, control without maize straw and the consortia between the cherry tomato and the following species: jack bean (Canavalia ensiformis DC), sun hemp (Crotalaria juncea L.), velvet bean-dwarf (Mucuna deeringiana (Bort) Merrill)], mung bean (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek), white lupine (Lupinus albus L.), cowpea (Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp).Samplings of the minitomateiro (leaf, bud and fruit), corn-green (whole plant and spike), green manures (whole plant) were done.It will be evaluated: (1) natural abundance of 15N (´15N 0), total N and macro and micronutrient of plants (minitomateiro, green manure and green corn) and soil; (2) the total carbon and natural abundance of 13C (´13C 0) for maize-green, green manure and soil; (3) calculation of maize-green, minitomateiro and green manure productivity; (4) the transfer of N from the legume to the minitomateiro; (5) Biological Nitrogen Fixation (BNF); (6) quantity N derived from BNF and soil; (7) agronomic equivalence index (IEA); (8) economic analysis and statistical analysis.
